Day 3 – 4

Roof decking was completed enabling the water proof roofing membrane to be laid providing a virtually rain protected structure at the end of day 3. This stage requires considered coordination by the project manager to line up the appropriate contractors.

The joins in the wall panels are made airtight by the lapping of the vapour check membrane which is completed today. Most of the internal walls are prefinished with plasterboard, some are supplied loose so that this operation is easy and accessible. Externally, the join between ground and first floors is covered with boarding matching the outside of the wall panels.

The internal wall timbers are all pre-cut and labelled for each section of wall affording precise construction minimising waste.
